LITTLE-KNOWN BOX | JULY 2016

Hey lovelies!
As you probably know, i've been loving beauty subscription boxes and if you follow me on Instagram, I mentioned this cute box on there last week that I received. This is July's subscription box from Little-Known Box* (Insta: @LittleKnownBox) to unbox and review!

I discovered Little-Known Box recently and they are a cute new company with a subscription box service in the UK. They help and feature upcoming, emerging brands that are under-represented and feature their products in their boxes. Most of the brands are natural/organic, vegan friendly, cruelty free which is amazing!

First impressions, the packaging.. I LOVED! It's simple, but sleek and minimal, with a black box, and gold detailing. After opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised, as everything was packed so lovely and looked luxurious with the bow and tissue paper! The box also included a small card with all the product details and ingredients, prices, how to use and what not and brand information, which is brilliant! As these are upcoming brands, it's nice to know a little information about them and their products etc.

This month's Little-Known Box included 5 products; 2 full size and 3 travel size and as a bonus, popped in a couple samples with a gift voucher... how amazing?!

So, lets get onto the exciting part!

Odylique  - Natural Black Mascara | RRP £17.50
I was really excited to see a mascara in a subscription box, and recently i've started to buy more mascaras rather than wearing falsies 24/7. This product is also full size, which is great value! I have used the mascara quite a few times since receiving the box, as it's a conditioning mascara, I don't find it to be lengthening or volumising, which is what I need as I have very short, thin lashes, so personally this product isn't for me, but I'm sure it would be perfect for others! 

The mascara is 100% organic and 88% organic mineral and also smudge-proof and as it is free from synthetic materials, it's kind to the eye and perfect for those with sensitive eyes! Also a little about the brand... Odylique (formerly Essential Care) is a family run brand, based in Suffolk and all products are animal cruelty free and are certified to meet strict Soil Association organic standards!

SoapNSkin - Body Butter | RRP £6

This is a travel size product, which is handy to pop into your bag for on the go. First impressions, I loved the cute and simple packaging and it smelt lovely. I tried some on the back of my hand, it's literally like butter! It's so soft, creamy and extremely moisturising. On the information card, it also says this can also be used on the face as a night balm, which definitely appealed to me. I've been using it for the past few days before bed and it leaves my face so soft and glowy!

soapNskin are a British brand and all of their products are handmade in small batches. They also blend in essential oils, botanical extracts as well as cocoa, shea and mango butters to create products that smell beautiful and benefit our skin (sounds so good!!!) The body butter is also made from completely natural ingredients too.

Balance Me - Radiant Face Mask | £12

This is the second skincare product, featured in this month's box and also my favourite!

I was actually really pleased to see this product, as I have previously used this last year and I loved it! It came free in a magazine, and I used it up pretty quickly (guilty..) and of course I have already started using it. It's said to remove impurities, brightens complexions and exfoliates dry skin and I can definitely agree with that! After using this face mask, my skin always feels amazing, fresh and gently exfoliates and not to mention, it smells amazing! 

All the Balance Me products don't contain any parabens or sulphates and are packed with lots of natural ingredients, which is amazing. It's also 98% natural and suits all skin types!

Zerreau - Apple Scented 'Towel Off' Shampoo | RRP £3.99
This was a travel size product and is to clean hair effectively without the showering process of water and rinsing. I really enjoyed testing out this product and it does work. I used it last weekend as I went away, and as I have thick long hair, washing and drying takes hours, so this really came in handy and did the job. I will say though, although it works, it doesn't give the exact freshness feeling like washing your hair in the shower, which I expected!

I used as directed on the bottle - apply foam directly to the roots and massage, whilst wet and soapy remove from towel drying. This product lifts the dirt and grease from hair and even products such as hair spray.

This is such a nifty and handy product, especially if you're at a festival, holiday, camping or weekend away!

HJ Manicure - 5 free Nail Polish | RRP £19.00/ £9.50 each

This is the first time Little-Known Box have ever featured nail polish in their boxes and they've included TWO inside! HJ Manicure have lovely vidid, bright colours, which all look great during these summer months and look lovely with a tan. 

I received the bright pink and purple shades. I love the pink as it's slightly on the neon side, so its perfect for summer and honestly i'm not too keen on the purple shade, it's lovely but not something i'd usually wear!

The HJ nail varnishes are fast drying, long lasting, easy to apply and very pigmented in colour. They're also free from 5 toxic chemicals and are vegan and cruelty free (bonus!).

BONUS PRODUCTS: Simply Argan - Organic Argan Oil & arbre d'or Eau De Parfum (2x Sample Sachets)
Little-Known box were kind enough to include some sample sachets and a gift voucher in July's subscription box which is a great little perk! I haven't tried any of these yet, but I can't wait to use the Organic Argan Oil on my hair as it needs some TLC and i've always had really good experiences when using any product including argan oil!

Overall, every product in this box I really liked. I'm so happy that there are products I know I will be using regularly and think it's amazing for the price and worth the money to discover new brands and different products.
